Each year, BIAPWS organises a two day symposium on power plant chemistry. To date, 16 such symposia have been organised.
The symposium covers the fundamental aspects of power plant chemistry on the first day, followed by developments in cycle chemistry, water treatment and environmental issues on the second day. As well as the technical content, the event also provides an excellent opportunity for meeting colleagues from power plants, technical centres and suppliers that are active in the power industry, with vendor stands also available.
The annual symposium continues to be very well supported, with around one hundred delegates typically attending. The next event will take place on April 26 - 27 2016 at Warwick Conferences, University of Warwick, Coventry, UK. The preliminary announcement for the 2016 symposium can be found below. A full technical programme for the symposium and event registration will be available in early 2016.
The programme on Wednesday 27th April will consist of invited and contributed technical papers. Please see the preliminary announcement document for details.
An exhibition area will be open all day on Wednesday 27th April. Exhibitors are welcomed from all organisations. Places are available to BIAPWS Sponsors at no additional cost; for organisations who are not members, there will be a charge of £440.00 which includes both a stand and attendance by one delegate. Spaces for exhibitors are limited and will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis; if your organisation is interested in being an exhibitor, please see the preliminary announcement document for details.
Summary articles on the proceedings of the previous symposia can be found in Technical Information.
